Position: Routing Exchange Engineer
Location: Hybrid in Lake Mary, FL (3 days/week on-site)
Duration : 9 mo. Contract to Hire
Rate Range : $50-60/hr W2 and Final rate will be measured based on level of experience
Position Overview:
Workplace Technology, Electronic Communications Engineering is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing email and chat system solutions, focusing on architecture and implementation of automation for managing on-premise and cloud hosted deployments . Design and code end to end automation processes, routines and scripts to support system maintenance, administration, deployment, monitoring and metrics/reporting of the Electronic communications environments. This role will be responsible for the technical engineering and integration of client and vendor automation tools and custom scripts to support the electronic communications environment.
8+ years of experience developing/programming scripts to support automation of Microsoft environments including Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams and Microsoft Graph.
8+ years of experience designing and implementing SMTP email routing and email security on Proofpoint and Microsoft Exchange platforms. Experience implementing and troubleshooting email security best practices related to SMTP including TLS encryption, DMARC, DKIM and SPF, and emerging technologies like ARC.
3+ years of experience planning and running small development efforts as a technical lead using a sprint/agile style. Ability to define requirements and break down complex projects into ordered lists of detailed technical tasks, track the tasks, report on progress and escalate blocked and dependent tasks.
3+ years of experience using Splunk Enterprise to gather data, create searches and analyze email log and configuration data to produce reports and dashboards supporting projects, system management and migration activities
Demonstrated experience using PowerShell to analyze/manipulate text data, and to script configuration commands in a large Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online environment. Understanding of basic data and control structures to create complex scripts.
Experience with email and communication compliance technologies preferred (Smarsh Archive and Vantage, Microsoft exchange journaling, Microsoft Purview)
