Required Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Associate’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences or related fields (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Criminal Justice) OR a high school diploma plus an equivalent of 4+ years work experience with under-served adolescents/young adults
  • Experience 2+ years supervising interns and/or staff
  • Experience implementing relationship education, job readiness, and/or financial literacy programs
  • Experience developing and delivering trainings
  • Project management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Interpersonal skills, excellent written/oral communication
  • Knowledge of computers and MS software applications

Job Description
Responsible for providing professional supervision and support to a grant.
Job Duties
Support the oversight of the Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families Program (SR/SF) aimed at providing healthy relationships and life skills education to pregnant and/or parenting adolescents at various high schools across Central Texas. https://www.fcs.txst.edu/srsf.html

  • Program Coordinator will be based out of Texas State University. Travel and work off campus is required for site visits and supervision duties several days of the month. Mileage compensation is provided.
  • The Program Coordinator will provide supervision, mentoring, and professional development of 2-3 Program Facilitators who directly serve program participants in the southern region of our service area such as: Seguin, San Marcos and San Antonio.
  • Maintain communication with staff, interns, and school partners, establish relationships with community and program partners to grow and support the program functions.
  • Conduct site visits at campuses.
  • Assist with data collection (e.g. develop surveys, ensure proper administration, compile results, and develop evaluation reports).
  • Support data management, oversee quality and timeliness of entry.
  • Assist with administrative duties (e.g. compile staff needs. training coordination, interoffice coordination related to program implementation, budget monitoring).
  • Evaluate effectiveness of procedures including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes.
  • Assist in management and oversight of special projects (summer group and conference planning, policy and procedure manual editing, asynchronous make up development, internship placements and training, Youth Advisory Board, etc.)
  • Lead marketing and technology support (e.g. update and assist in developing content for social media, website, and other; track and maintain inventory of equipment).
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings and lead bi-weekly meetings with field staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
