Overview

Salary: $85,000-$95,000

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees all aspects of a company's accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, collecting outstanding payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and supervising a team of accounts receivable accountants, all while ensuring timely and accurate cash flow by monitoring and analyzing receivable balances and implementing strategies to optimize collection efforts. 

 

This role is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for supervision and billing of state and federal contracts including cost reimbursement contracts according to company policies.
  2. Review and evaluate prepared invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
  3. Monitor Accounts Receivable schedule to make sure invoices are completed by their required due dates.
  4. Help create and implement standard billing procedures for various types of contracts.
  5. Take corrective action to resolve issues and problems; recommend procedural improvements.
  6. Assist with monthly revenue trend reports to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
  7. Review aged accounts receivable reports prepared by billing accountants for overdue balances and take appropriate actions.
  8. Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
  9. Provide support to the Sr. Director of Revenue.
  10. Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. B.S. in Business and 7+ years of accounting experience in receivables or general accounting preferably in non-profit, human services and/or health care environment.
  2. Ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement in accounts receivable performance.
  3. Strong Excel skills: Ability to use spreadsheets efficiently, perform calculations, use advanced formulas and automate tasks.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software applications (experience with Business Central and Adaptive workday is a plus).
  5. Excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact with all levels of internal staff and external parties as required.
  6. Must be well-organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
  7. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
  8. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
