Required Skills:
Post secondary degree in social services (or related degree) or equivalent experience

Five or more years’ experience supervising teams

Five or more years’ experience in project management

Proven ability to lead teams and maintain high quality work

Capacity to develop positive relationships with community members, donors, volunteers, and staff

Option to work occasional evening or weekend hours

Ability to use discretion and diplomacy when communicating with external networks

Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Capacity to make independent decisions and participate in team planning

Job Description:
The Director of Social Inclusion Programs is a member of PACER’s Senior Leadership Team and leads the staff, strategy and operations for PACER’s bullying prevention resources, social and educational activities for teens with disabilities, and puppet shows for all young children promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. In addition, there is an ad hoc coordination role of initiatives which impact all of PACER’s programs.


Essential Job Functions

Supervision and Project Management

Contribute to and ensure the strategic direction for the social inclusion program

Supervise, coordinate and monitor the efforts of project teams including National Bullying Prevention Center (“NBPC”) Los Angeles and Minnesota, Puppet Program and Fun Times

Set project goals and objectives, establish processes to align with mission

Identify and coordinate opportunities for funding the social inclusion program, including cause marketing opportunities

Address any external or internal concerns identified by stakeholders

Participate in Senior Leadership Team meetings



NBPC

Lead content creation for all materials published through NBPC

Oversee NBPC website content, design and functionality

Lead awareness campaigns and events including National Bullying Prevention Month, Unity Day, Unity Awards, and Students with Solutions

Stay current with trends and best practices

Maintain inventory of products

Lead creation of social media and e-newsletter

Respond to all media requests including print, TV, radio, and online

Provide “presentations” both online and in person (this can also be participating on a panel, guest speaker, etc.)

Respond to NBPC email inquires

Respond to all email and phone individual assistance requests from persons without identified disability



Puppet Program

Assist program staff with all aspects of puppet program; from materials development and review to puppet repair/development to supporting the annual luncheon

Develop familiarity with scheduling process

Assist with volunteer strategies; including partnership with local school(s)

Ensure sustainability


Fun Times

Support program staff with procedural questions, scheduling, and logistics

Ensure sustainability
