Company Profile:

Our Mission

The mission of Youth For Tomorrow is to provide children and families with the opportunity to focus their lives and develop the confidence, skills, intellectual ability, spiritual insight and moral integrity - each based on Godly principles, resulting in positive changes to the benefit of the child, the family, the community, and the nation.

Today, YFT serves boys, girls, and families, of all ages whose lives are in crisis. Its residential program based in Bristow, VA, two miles south of Manassas continues to be nationally accredited and is complimented by programs serving hundreds of children in local schools and private homes while serving children and adults in community settings every day.

YFT is meeting the needs of children and families by offering a continuum of services as an alternative to the nation's fragmented and overburdened child and family care systems. The continuum of services offered by YFT is unique to the Northern Virginia region and enables YFT to deliver the right care at the right time to children and families in need of urgent care.

The integrated continuum offers levels of care which include:

  • Treatment Group Homes – for boys and girls including services to pregnant teens and domestic girls sexually exploited or trafficked
  • Crisis Intervention Counseling Services
  • Diagnostic and Assessment Services
  • Outpatient Services
  • Therapeutic Day Treatment
  • Intensive In-Home Services
  • Therapeutic Mentoring

All life-changing care offered in the continuum is consistently effective because it's based on the research-proven delivery of services.  As children and families make progress at one level, they move to other levels that better fit their needs without starting over in their care.

Services at the top of the continuum provide intensive care to children with serious emotional or behavioral problems. Children receive these services outside of their homes; nevertheless, family reunification is always our ultimate goal. Services at the bottom of the continuum help families stay together through training, counseling and other measures available to your family.

Children who are referred to YFT have struggled with one or more of the following issues:

  • Foster care
  • Poor academic performance/special needs
  • Criminal behavioral patterns
  • Substance abuse
  • Bullying
  • Defiance
  • Depression
  • Social anxieties
  • Family crises
  • Mental health disorders
  • Pregnant teens and teen mothers
  • Domestic minor sex trafficked girls
  • Sexually abuse/exploited youth

The most effective approach for improving a young person's life is to immediately reduce the risk factors and simultaneously increase the protective factors in all elements of one's life.
