Sr. Program Manager Lead - Ft Belvoir

This position is not currently funded and is contingent upon the award of a new contract to Amentum. At this time, Amentum is seeking candidates to fulfill contingent roles. The expected award timeframe is Summer 2024.

As Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and/or supervising the activities of professionals who are involved in diverse projects in the field of Information Technology.

Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the activities of the different IT project teams that are meant to work towards achieving a common purpose

  • Make sure that project execution plans are established and executed

  • Review and/or approve adjustments in project outlays

  • Schedule and oversee meetings that have to do with IT projects

  • Administer and manage annual budgets for the execution of different IT projects

  • Make sure that whatever IT project is being executed is carried out according to the required standards

  • Assign duties and areas of authority to different IT project managers

  • Monitor and evaluate the performances of different project managers and their teams

  • Oversee the recruitment of required qualified persons who will work in each project team.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of IT Program Management experience, or equivalent

  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred:

  • PMP certification

  • Army IT experience
