Buffalo News Names Sealing Devices Inc. A Winner Of The Metro Buffalo Top Workplaces 2024 Award STATEMENT OF WORK: Review customer supplied drawings to determine if the die can be produced in house or if it must be outsourced to a laser cut die manufacturer. Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs and/or turn designs into blueprints. Determine and select quality and type of die board, steel rule and punches and any other materials Transfer drawing design(s) to board and check for accuracy to drawing Drill and cut board to receive steel rule and Using steel rule bender, form steel rule to required profile for insertion into Insert punches into Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality. Send die to Quality Control to check tolerances against customer Maintain and repair die board and steel rule and punches to customer specifications/tolerances Report quality problems to applicable Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the fabrication Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED: Qualifications and Experience High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Minimum of 1 year experience in drafting, die making or related field. Other Requirements: This position utilizes Drafting Software (AutoCad, Solidworks) and industry specific software. Ability to adapt to new programs as required. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, as well as build relationships. Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $20.00 and up based upon experience. Qualifications Skills Required AutoCad Advanced Preferred Blueprint Reading Expert Math Skills Expert Education Required High School or better. Technical/other training or better.
