Job Description:
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized architectural and engineering firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, a full-time position is available for a specifications writer. Responsibilities include creating project manuals for vertical construction projects; preparing and assisting with writing specifications for Divisions 00-14 and interdisciplinary coordination of the entire project manual; assisting with product research, evaluations and selection; developing and updating master specifications and providing leadership for formatting of specifications across disciplines; participating in educational opportunities related to building products, materials, technologies and standards; providing mentoring for staff. Travel will be required.



The successful candidate must have all of the following:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in construction management, architecture or engineering

AND
At least eight years of relevant experience





The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
Experience leading the specification writing process for Divisions 00-14 while meeting schedules and quality expectations
Knowledge of current products, materials and standards including those specified in Divisions 03-14, ICC Codes, and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC’s)
Experience with the following specifications software: MasterSpec, SpecsIntact, BDS SpecLink
Professional licensure as an architect or engineer
LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
Experience developing and maintaining master specifications for vertical construction projects
