This is a Job Description for a Material Handler – 2^nd Shift in Madison, Mississippi.

Summary: Performs a variety of operations to supply work cell of a business unit with the necessary products.  Achieves goals to deliver on time, high-quality  products to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Opens containers, loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Loads materials into vehicles. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Monitor cells for work flow, ensuring product is flowing through cells. Apply standard operating procedures to complete work assignments thoroughly and accurately; identify and correct errors and pay attention to details. Work with the cell team to meet or exceed production standards; complete work in a timely manner; plan and prioritize work. Follow safety and 5S guidelines; maintain a clean and organized work area and used good safety judgment. Understand ISO procedures and know where appropriate documentation is kept. Share input in team improvement board and High Performance Team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 6-12 months experience in manufacturing environment, Parker FCD preferred. Basic computer skills. Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions in English. Learns and maintains required skill and proficiency to successfully accomplish full job responsibilities; willingly takes on new assignments and cross trains in other areas.
