JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview This Night Shift CNA position for our Medical
Unit is a fast-paced in-patient environment. The unit serves a wide
variety of patient needs and offers an opportunity for growth and
development within a hospital setting. We are offering night shift
incentive pay and carer development opportunites through our CNA job
levels. This position cares for patients in the hospital setting under
direction of nursing staff, by performing the following duties,
supporting the nursing philosophy. May include weekends, holidays, day,
evening, night, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities CNA 2 (Advanced)
is required to meet unit competency and orientation requirements as
defined for CNA 1 (Basic) role, additionally demonstrating competency
in: \* Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit
educator \* Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel \* Bladder
scanning procedure reviewed \* Bladder scanner training complete (check
off sheet for competency) \* Attaching patient to remote telemetry or
bedside cardiac monitor \* Managing and reporting collection devices: \*
Colostomy, ileostomy or other fecal management systems: care and output
measures \* Indwelling catheters: care and output measures \*
Nasogastric tubes to suction \* Surgical drains under direction of
supervising RN \* Competent in completing vital signs: Manual process
for blood pressure and required reporting of abnormal values to
supervising RN \* Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of
the supervising RN: \* Indwelling (Foley) catheters \* Nasogastric tubes
\* Peripherally inserted intravenous catheters \* Similar devices as
