About the Team

The Office of the CTO is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Jira Administration Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading an informal team of Jira administrators in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Jira instance, with a focus on Jira Boards, Task Manager, and Confluence and care for the launch of Atlassian Intelligence / AI components. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that Jira meets the needs of our users while also adhering to our established standards and best practices.
How you'll make an impact

Lead and manage / partner with a small team of Jira/Atlassian administrators (internal and external to the organization)

Oversee the continuous maintenance and optimization of our Jira instance, specified to WEX's needs and existing practice

Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in Jira software and best practices

Create and manage company-managed and team-managed project spaces

Respond to requests from users and stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as the ITSM, SRE Team, Architecture team, and Agile Practices & Delivery team

Develop and implement process improvements to streamline Jira administration tasks

Measure and track the success of the Jira administration team

Identify and troubleshoot Jira-related issues

Document Jira administration processes and procedures
Experience you'll bring

Proven experience as a Jira administrator or in a similar role

Fluency in the WEX Jira and agile strategy, with preference for putting it into practice

In-depth knowledge of Jira configuration, administration, and best practices

Experience leading and managing a team, both informally and formally. Having the ability to influence without direct authority is a plus

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proactive and results-oriented approach

Experience with Jira Work Management

Experience with scripting or automation tools
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $95,000.00 - $126,000.00
