has an opening for a Transportation Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 0 to
4 years of experience to join our Transportation team in the Madison, WI
office. Our team focuses on geometric design, alternatives analysis, and
final design for a variety of types of projects including large to
mid-sized DOT and city projects. There may be opportunities to work on
national design projects as well across the network. Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Transportation EIT/Coordinator is to: Work as
a key member of the Transportation team for moderate to large projects
and work independently on smaller projects Assimilate and manage data
Provide transportation design services for transit, highway, state
agencies, cities and counties Prepare the following roadway/highway
design elements using local agency or AASHTO design standards:
horizontal and vertical alignment, 3D modeling, roadway cross sections,
intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange
layout, and roadway drainage Work with a team in the preparation of
plans, specifications, and estimates for projects of various sizes and
complexities Manage the following work elements: day-to-day
communication (verbal and written) with the other team members, write
reports and technical memos, and organize project tasks in support of
