| Required Skills: | Qualifications for this position include the possession of a Class D Water Supply Operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 1 year of hire. Two years’ vocational college degree in Water Treatment, two years working within a municipal water department, and/or a C Water License or Higher is preferred. This position also requires an MN Class B Commercial CDL and to live within a 30-minute drive under normal conditions from the corporate limits of Fairmont within the 1 year of appointment. |

| Job Description: |
The City of Fairmont is looking for a Water Mechanic who will work under the Water Superintendent. The Water mechanic is responsible for maintaining equipment at the water treatment plant, maintaining water system infrastructure, assisting in gathering data, performing tests, assisting other City Departments, and performing other related functions as assigned or apparent.
