Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for 85 years. Our Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert County, Ohio creates, cooks, and slices some of the highest quality deli products on the market for brands you know and trust. Cooper Farms is currently seeking 1st shift General Production team members to join our team in Van Wert.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $16.25 with the potential of increasing to $16.50 after 90 days.
PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses

All training will be provided. Job functions include:

Operating and maintaining knowledge of the departmental equipment and operations
Ensuring that all assigned procedures are carried out in an efficient manner in accordance with production/quality/safety guideline
Working with others to ensure all areas are up to standard and reporting any abnormalities.
Accurately completing all required paperwork

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to work in a cool, damp environment
