Compliance Business Analytics Manager, Trust and Safety, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, a similar quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role
  • 6 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++)

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of management experience managing small teams of highly skilled analysts
  • Experience delivering production-level metrics, insights, and actions
  • Experience writing and maintaining Extracts, Transforms, Loads (ETLs) which operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources
  • Familiarity with abuse prevention, policy, and regulatory systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with responding to high-priority regulatory asks in a timely and appropriate fashion
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)

As a Compliance Business Analytics Manager for YouTube Trust and Safety, you are responsible for formulating metric strategies and implementing analytical solutions to drive insights for successful enforcement operations at scale within Youtube.

This includes leading a highly capable team of analysts to develop KPI and measurement across trust and safety operations, developing experimentation and analysis to understand key business questions, and driving insights at an executive level to improve enforcement operations. As a manager, you will be working cross-functionally and engage with stakeholders from policy, operations, legal, engineering, and product teams to co-own strategy and address a wide variety of complex issues such as reviewer efficiency, decision quality, enforcement timeliness, and violation risk.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate a practical and high impact long-term strategy and vision, and lead a dedicated analyst team to work closely with operations, product, and Engineering across YouTube Trust and Safety.
  • Measure, analyze, and develop opportunities to enhance operations at scale in a high moving environment.
  • Lead the team to create and deploy scaled solutions ranging from complex statistical measurements, experimentation and insight platforms, and robust externalized data and reporting pipelines. 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product, partnerships, policy, and legal to drive complex anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
