In this role you will be responsible for leading the creation of data products including data tables, ETL methodology, and business measures and calculations required to achieve specific objectives. The Senior Analyst, Data Solutions will work with the Integrated Analytics and Sales teams to understand the data sources required to address specific issues and develop plans to efficiently access this data, and when appropriate scale and combine this data across multiple data sources in the organization. This role will focus on working cross-functionally to understand data availability and handing off solutions to business intelligence teams when solutions will be used in longer-term projects.

Location: Working Remote USA

In this role you will:

Understand the availability, structure, and business use of the JM Smucker data environment

Utilize modern data techniques and ETL tools with large data sets to create scalable data solutions leveraging the disparate databases available for analysis

Work collaboratively with Sales teams to understand business objectives and implement data sources and strategies to achieve these objectives aided by analytics

Understand data being utilized for various analytics products and calculations across functions and proactively recommend opportunities to standardize, consolidate, or otherwise streamline usage

Develop necessary business calculations, populate and maintain meta-data and data dictionaries to facilitate end-user education

Monitor data source usage and recommend data products for promotion into enterprise data process with the IS team as needed

Coach and train team on availability of relevant data sources to increase analytics utilization

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

2+ years of practical analytical experience in Marketing, Finance, Sales or R&D

Comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from varying sources

Experience creating or refining data tables and ETL processes using tools like SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, R, Python

Demonstrated experience gathering project requirements, building business acumen, and managing deliverables

Experience distilling complex data concepts into a consumable presentation for nontechnical audiences

Strong solution-oriented thinker with project management, critical thinking skills and a bias for action

Demonstrated ability to coach and share best practices

A relentless commitment to continuous learning and professional development
