Fairview Health Services Electrician in Wyoming, Minnesota

Overview

The Electrician will work to maintain major equipment, such as fire alarms, electrical power systems, emergency generators etc. This position works with other maintenance personnel to see that work performed on major equipment is done correctly and assembles and maintains all pertinent documentation.

This is a 80hr per pay period position, with general hours around 7am-330pm. The location for this position is Wyoming and Princeton, MN.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Assists with the training of Maintenance Engineers in the repair and maintenance of various pieces of mechanical and electrical equipment following accepted practices and procedures. These systems include HVAC controls, fire alarms, electric motors and electrical/emergency power.

  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of electrical patient care equipment to provide a safe environment for patients and ensures compliance with the standards of regulatory agencies.

  • Gains a thorough working knowledge of the major systems within the hospital, and is able to operate them safely and efficiently, and troubleshoots problems so they can be remedied with a minimum of down time and disruption of service.

  • Demonstrates the ability to use blueprints, schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and isolate problems.

  • Assists Maintenance Engineers in performing scheduled preventative maintenance on fans, motors, HVAC systems, electronically distribution and emergency generators according to predetermined schedules.

  • Maintains all documentation required by department, hospital and regulatory agencies in a clear, organized manner. Completes and turns in required documentation i.e. work logs, check lists and other documentation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an Apprenticeship Program in Electricity

  • One or more years of applicable experience

  • Current Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited trade school in electricity

  • Five or more years of applicable experience

  • Masters license in Electricity or within 1yr of employment.
