PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Clean guest rooms (stripping bed and linens, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture, etc.)
- Clean and sanitize guest bathroom (clean commodes, tubs, floors, marble counter tops, walls, mirrors, etc.)
- Gather trash, waste. Properly dispose items into approved disposal area as specified by Housekeeping Management.
- Ensure all lost, found items have been tagged and delivered the Housekeeping Department Managers for logging.
- Inspect rooms for needed repairs, and for completion of cleaning.
- Report any damage to furniture or fixtures to the Director of Rooms or Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.
- Verify the appropriate use of cleaning products, as defined by the Material Safety Data sheets, prior to their intended use.
- Arrange furniture, bedding, fixtures, and amenities in the room according to the standardized room setting.
- Replenish all housekeeping items as necessary or requested. Examples: bath robe, slippers, towels, tissue, bath mat, bedding, hangers, pillows, toiletries.
- Perform all dusting and vacuuming in accordance to standards.
- Inspect the guest room, working in a clockwise manner, recording which duties have been completed.
- Replace clean towels on racks.
- Place proper quantities of room accessories according to standards.
- Operate a light vacuum.
- Follow pet, smoke, and bug procedures as explained by manager.
- Follow all safety and security policies, procedures.
- Prioritize the rooms based upon guest requests, arrivals, etc.
- Complete all special projects that are requested by manager.
- Deep clean assigned guest room once a year as per schedule and procedure.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity to complete housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, moving furniture, making beds, changing bed linens, polishing bathroom fixtures, and cleaning floors.
- You must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the guest, coworkers, and managers.
- You must have the ability to use stairs and service elevators to move throughout the building.
