Required Skills:
Qualifications for this position include the possession of a D Water Operator’s License or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months of hire, as well as a combination of education and experience to meet the two-year vocational college degree in Water Treatment and Operations (or the equivalent). A preferred candidate would have a Class C Water License (or higher) and at least two years of experience working within a municipal water or wastewater department.

Job Description:
The Water Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment at the Water Treatment plant, maintaining infrastructure, assisting in gathering data, performing tests, and generating reports, as well as other related functions as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications for this position include the possession of a D Water Operator’s License or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months of hire, as well as a combination of education and experience to meet the two-year vocational college degree in Water Treatment and Operations (or the equivalent). A preferred candidate would have a Class C Water License (or higher) and at least two years of experience working within a municipal water or wastewater department.

The typical work hours for this position are 12-hour rotating shifts starting at 6:00 am or 6:00 pm, seven days a week.
