Summary
For students interested in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Pursuits, Project Supports and Safety. Project sites are located in Midwest Region. These positions will support various project sites and project management, document control, and collaborate with safety personnel and field operations. Interns will receive the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and guidance while establishing professional contacts in the industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Support highway heavy/civil construction site, project management or estimating Assist with document control, submittals, monthly billing Assist with field operations, safety and environment requirements Other responsibilities as assigned
Experience, Education & Skills
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management Current college student Experience working on civil or other construction site(s) desired Computer literate in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Outlook Strong organizational, written, verbal and time management skills Good attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies Have a positive attitude and excellent self-motivational skills Ability to perform under schedule restraints Highly detail-oriented as prioritization is crucial Structured time management Must have a valid driver's license
Working Conditions
Travel Required Construction Site Environment - Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels. Construction Site Office Environment - Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
