About the Role:

The Associate Director, Materials Management will oversee capital equipment purchasing, planning, distribution, receiving & inspection in Arden Hills, MN. They will partner with global sourcing, production, engineering, and quality teams to set strategic priorities, drive improvements, and meet business goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensure stable supply chain for the business through effective supplier and inventory management procedures and partnerships
Maintain healthy inventory levels and mitigate supply risk while reducing overall inventory and prepaid asset investments.
Provides leadership to SI&OP processes with division and plant, ensuring effective coordination of supply & capacity planning for current and new products throughout the capital equipment lifecycle.
Ensure timely receipt, inspection, delivery and distribution of product to manufacturing and distribution customers while meeting safety, quality, service and cost goals.
Sponsor warehouse and logistics strategy with preferred vendors and carriers.
Monitor supply chain and intervene as required to ensure optimal performance.
Drive Lean and Lean Business Process strategy to deliver safety, quality, service and cost improvements across the capital equipment materials organization.
Collaborate with customers and key partners to align strategies to meet service commitments, capacity, space, project support and resource needs.
Establish manufacturing, service and distribution annual and long-range budget; monitor and improve financial performance and spend.
Lead, coach and develop people leaders responsible for team performance.
Provide timely performance feedback and deliver individual performance reviews.
Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
Oversee processes for cycle counting, obsolete and excess material, retain requests and expiration management.
Work closely with finance and quality teams to ensure procedures align with current finance policies and quality system requirements.
Support internal and external audits to confirm department policies are in line with company goals and objectives.
Maintain documented logistics policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GMP and ISO requirements.
Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Minimum of 10 years of related functional and leadership experience within the Production/Operations space.
Minimum of 5 years of direct managerial experience leading large and diverse teams across a highly matrixed organization
Medical device or related industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Senior executive presence, comfortable presenting and collaborating with Senior Leaders as a Business Advisor
Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple, large-scale projects using established project management tools and processes.
Demonstrated capability collaborating within a complex and matrix global distribution and manufacturing environment
Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ability to establish credibility
High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
