Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical components and motors in material handling and cleaning equipment.


Essential  Duties:

- Perform basic battery repairs and replacement.
- Operate CMMS functions designed to be inputted by mechanics.
- Perform all major preventative maintenance procedures.
- Read and interpret shop manuals and schematics.
- Comply with all OSHA and Stop & Shop standard procedures, safety requirements and regulations.
- Basic plumbing, painting building repairs.
- Observe, report and correct (when appropriate) all unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause associate and/or customer accidents.



Requirements

- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 70 lbs.
- Must possess own basic hand tools as used in a maintenance shop.
- Must be able to read / write English
- Possessing basic welding skills is a plus.
