This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: (Alva, OK)
Title: Farmworkers, Farm, Ranch, and Aquacultural Animals
Dates of Contract: 01/01/2025 to 11/01/2025
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:30pm 10 hrs. Saturday an Sunday -5 hours.
Duties: Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties
include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding,
catching, receiving, processing, and loading animals; Maintain records
on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer
medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Clean and
maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, fashion, repair
livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Check and
replenish mineral; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to
distribute feed/commodities and to produce forage such as hay; Move
equipment or livestock from one location to another; Shift animals between
grazing areas to ensure that they have sufficient access to food; Break ice.
Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required
for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license
following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to
the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure
