Education Requirements and Experience:
A.A or A.A.S in a STEM field or administration. Experience levels may qualify toward educational experience.
B.S. in Public Administration, Environmental Science, or Chemistry preferred.
Extensive knowledge of administrative tracking tools, billing, and basic computer applications such as Adobe Pro, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Share point etc.
Superfund policy, law, and implementation knowledge and experience is preferred. Additional Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications (Word, Excel, Adobe Pro).
Good oral and written communication skills and customer service skills.
Good record keeping and reporting skills.
Grant writing and management experience.
Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations as they relate to Tribal Government and an ability to keep abreast of this developing and complex field.
Proven ability to build productive relationships by positively interacting with co-workers, other federal and state agency staff and Tribal constituents.
Coordinate and assist to facilitate public outreach meetings.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Basic understanding of Clean Water Act (CWA) 401 Certification program.
Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe positions. Willingness to learn and implement new technologies for program and project tracking.

Job Description:
Division: Division of Resource Management (DRM)
Reports to: Environmental Director
Worksite: Environmental Department, DRM
Work Hours: M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm, some evenings as needed
LLBO Status: Non-exempt

License/Certification Requirements: Valid MN Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable.

Summary: Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe's Environmental Protection Agency's Supportive Agency Coordination Agreement and Clean Water Act 401 Certification program administration

Duties/Responsibilities:
Keep records of staff time on Superfund operable units (OU).
Report quarterly to EPA.
Keep records of contractor expenses on Superfund operable units. Report quarterly to EPA.
Work with accountant to manage budget and report quarterly to EPA.
Scan legacy documents for Superfund Site and log. Back up information externally Attend team meetings, taking notes and distributing to staff.
Assist SACA Coordinator with technical report editing.
Attend and or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required. Travel in and out of state may be required.
Respond to community member concerns regarding the superfund site in coordination with the SACA Coordinator.
Provide education and outreach with staff to the community.
Stay abreast on St Regis Superfund site issues as well as other superfund issues across the United States as applicable and relatable.
Maintain website information: St Regis ArcGIS StoryMap, assist with any social media outreach regarding St Regis Superfund site as well as 401 applications.
Maintain CWA 401 tracking tools to be shared with water team, ensure that obligation and deadlines are being met for -CWA 401 applications.
Process CWA 401 application fees including: generating invoices, processing payments, and providing confirmation of receipt to applicants.
Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture.
Adhere to policies governing staff conduct. Other duties as assigned.
