Join our mission to help individuals with mental illness to lead healthy and productive lives as a Peer Specialist. Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has an immediate opening for an ACT Peer Specialist (Peer Recovery Supporter). This is a full-time position providing peer support services. Peer Specialists engage with clients both in person and through phone outreach. This position uses personal experience to support, guide, and encourage others in recovery. The ideal candidate will be a current or past consumer of community mental health services.

Position Responsibilities:
Assist potential clients with setting up services through daily walk-ins for open-access intake assessments
Researches and develops community resources in response to identified client needs
Serves as a liaison between the consumers, care managers, and therapists
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities; serves as a positive role model for clients.
Engage with clients by phone and in person to offer support and guidance.
Position Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED required.
Current or past consumer of community mental health services.
Willingness to self-identify as being in recovery and share personal journey to support and benefit members of the program.
Basic computer knowledge
Position requires frequent driving of own vehicle. Valid driver's license and vehicle are required.
