--Ability to maintain a valid driver's license

--Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the overall development and implementation of various installation and maintenance services. The person in this position will provide these services in the field at customer sites as well as in the HM Cragg corporate facility.

Reporting Relationship: The Field Service Technician reports to the Service Manager

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

--Install/remove/replace battery systems, related accessories and hardware

--Perform preventive maintenance services on battery and battery charging systems in UPS' (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), Utility and
Telecommunications environments

--Install/removes common system equipment/hardware, including wiring and connections on non-working equipment

--Adheres to all company and industry safety policies and procedures

--Adheres to the applicable customer, industry and manufacturers maintenance/installation methods and standards

--Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment

--Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites.

--Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements

--Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Field Service Technician

--Perform other duties as assigned

Note: This position SHALL NOT perform work operations or job activities on working equipment or live circuits without the direct supervision of a qualified Level IV Technician.
