ARAMARK Administrative Support Worker - Denison University in granville, Ohio

Job Description

The Human Resources Admin Support role involves a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of this role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties

  • Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager

  • Compiling and updating employee records (hard and soft copies)

  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, etc.)

  • Coordinate and support facilitation of HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes as applicable

  • Partner with HRM on associate requests regarding human resource issues, rules, and regulations,

  • Support the planning and execution of Associate Engagement and Wellbeing activities as directed by the HR Manager

  • Helps organize and oversee associate incentive programs and recognition platforms to ensure recognition is happening in accordance to outlined goals and is consistent campus wide

  • Conduct initial orientation for newly hired associates using approved New Hire Orientation presentation

  • Complete full-cycle new hire process with orientees to include requesting badges, nametags, I9 document collection, etc

  • Partners with HRM to conduct monthly associate focus groups and 30/90 New Hire surveys to increase engagement and job satisfaction

  • Communicate with public services when necessary

  • Additional duties and/or task as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position

  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS systems

  • Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases

  • Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws

  • Associate degree and/or working towards a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field highly preferred

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

  • Position requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 15 pounds

  • Position requires frequent repetitive motion of hands and/or arms
