Job Description

Associate QA Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities
The Associate Quality Engineer will support a critical project within our Ground Systems group involving vehicles. Activities include:

Understanding customer requirements and specifications and ensuring these are verified at appropriate locations in the process.
Assuring readiness of customer deliverables prior to customer inspections. This includes readiness of vehicles as well as associated documentation.
Leading all customer inspections on behalf of the project. Requires excellent communication skills and ability to represent the project team to the customer.
Leads root cause and corrective action on any customer identified findings. Submits responses to customer and verifies implementation and effectiveness.
Tracks final inspection as well as customer observations not requiring root cause and corrective action, feeding back the defects to the appropriate process and assuring action is taken where trends are observed.
Supports resolution of supplier issues identified on the project including communicating the issues back to the supplier, working with the supplier on corrective and preventive action plans, updating internal inspection procedures, etc.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; two years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
Experience in related industry (in an engineering capacity).
Experience with vehicles preferred.
