Job Description: |
Need 49 full-time, seasonal, temporary Farmworker/Laborers work in various locations within Dakota, Goodhue and Rice Counties. From: 07/01/2024 to 08/05/2024 Work: 35 hrs./week, Mon.- Fri. 6 hrs./day; Sat. 5 hrs/day. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST Law: Employers must provide each employee in MN one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked(Up to 48 hours in a year).

JOB DUTIES: Rogueing: the worker will walk down the aisles between the plants in the corn fields, removing the corn plants that are from a different species leaving the field ready for detasseling. Operate detasseling machines, and field work including removing the spikes that are left after the detasseling machine passes through. Also, sorting, planting, weeding and harvesting flowers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (2) Months Experience, Exposure to Extreme Temperatures, Extensive Pulling, Pushing, Sitting, Walking, Frequent Stooping or Bending Over, Repetitive Movements, Lift 90lbs., with other workers, No minimum education required.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools, equipment and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
