Attend authorized Police Academy earning an Associates of Applied Science
Degree in Law Enforcement. Upon completion of Academy and under close
supervision, receives field training and performs a variety of duties for
the Cañon City Police Department.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a valid
Colorado Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one within sixty
(60) days of hire, with a driving record acceptable to the City of
Cañon City. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and 21 years of age at time
of swearing in. Applicants must be eligible for Colorado Police Officer
