Job Description

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: As the Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for
making, repairing, or modifying custom-made products, prototypes, or
special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very specific
dimensions. Responsibilities include: Verify dimensions, alignments, and
clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using
measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or
dial indicators Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to
plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies
Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling
machines, grinders (Blanchard Surface) Fit and assemble parts to make,
repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools Design jigs, fixtures,
and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or
products Qualifications: Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years
previous experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Toolroom attendant Knowledge
of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Position requires excellent math skills and the ability to read,
interpret, and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics, and work
instructions Ability to work 10 hours in a physically active and
challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; walking,
standing, lifting, twisting, turning, crouching, kneeling, pushing,
pulling High School Diploma or equivalent required and Tool & Die Maker
schooling Die Building/Maintenance, Tool & Die Maker/machinist and/or
state indentured journeyman\'s card Key Information: Base pay will vary
based on experience and range between \$24- \$31/hr. Working 45- 55-hour
work weeks (41-48 hours earns time and a half, 49+ double time) All
candidates will train on our 1st shift for approximately 90 days and may
transfer to the 2nd -shift upon completion of training period. Styberg
