We are looking for:
A site HSSE Manager for our Oldbury site, located just off M5 Junction 2, near Brimingham, UK. The Oldbury site is an Upper Tier COMAH installation
We count on you to:Develop and maintain the site HSE management system, policies and procedures to ensure the compliance with all local HSE regulations to support a safe and reliable manufacturing operation
Implement and execute the Group and GBU HSE principles, policies and procedures at site level, ensuring the coherence with corporate requirements
Interact with relevant UK regulatory bodies, as part of COMAH regulations
Be part of the Site Leadership Team, including an emergency response duty rota and to build safety awareness in all employees, contractors and visitors
Deliver HSE leadership and professional communications and training to the relevant units/facilities/ departments at site to promote a proactive safety culture
Conduct HSE inspections, audits and risk assessment, follow up the corrective actions
Develop and implement HSE training programs and awareness communication programs.
Report and review accidents/incidents/near misses to determine the root causes and make action plan to minimize or eliminate future safety risks.
Provide technical guidance and compliance support to all departments
Develop, maintain and implement relevant security standards for the site as defined by Group and GBU.
Manage and develop a professional and efficient HSE team

Bachelor degree or above, ideally in a Chemistry or Engineering related subject
Relevant HSE qualification (NEBOSH Diploma) or willingness to study for it.
Proven track record in HSE Manager role of chemical or related industry or equivalent senior role in that industry
Experience of COMAH operations, preferably at Upper Tier level
Strong team work and interpersonal skills to mobilize your team towards improvement
Ability to coach, train and influence other people
Strong leadership skills, focus on getting things done, implement on time and within budget.
Strong focus on behavioural safety as an underpinning value
