    We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Loan Administrator in the banking industry, located in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. As a Loan Administrator, your primary tasks will involve managing customer loan files, handling various loan-related documents, and addressing customer inquiries.

    Responsibilities:
    • Efficiently handle loan files, ensuring they are properly organized and sorted.
    • Order necessary reports such as appraisals, property profiles, and flood certificates to secure the bank's interest in real estate collateral.
    • Collaborate with title companies to order escrow and preliminary title reports.
    • Request, review, and maintain updated insurance information.
    • Prepare loan documents in line with approval and within policy guidelines.
    • Track receipt of documents and liaise with relevant parties to ensure timely receipt.
    • Address queries from borrowers and provide necessary follow-ups.
    • Analyze details such as loan amounts, taxes, hazard insurance, and principal and interest payments, and coordinate the finalization of closing funding packages.
    • Work closely with Title Companies and Escrows to meet turnaround times.
    • Ensure all closing conditions are satisfied before funding.
    • Prepare loan documents for delivery to the settlement agent for closing.
    • Use Accounting Software Systems and LaserPro for various tasks and audits.
    • Manage the closing processes, answering questions regarding closing requirements.
    • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.

    • Experience in Auditing is required to ensure compliance with banking regulations and to identify any discrepancies in financial records.

    • Knowledge of Closing Processes is vital for completing loan transactions and ensuring all necessary documents are in order.

    • Familiarity with LaserPro, the loan management software, is necessary for efficient loan administration and management.

    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

    • Prior experience in a banking or financial institution is preferred.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact with clients and team members.

    • Strong attention to detail is vital for reviewing loan applications and financial documents.

    • Good problem-solving skills are necessary to address any issues that may arise during the loan process.

    • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial due to the fast-paced nature of the banking industry.

    • Knowledge of banking regulations and laws is necessary to ensure all loan processes are compliant.

    • High ethical standards and integrity are required due to the sensitive nature of financial information.
