Summary:
Perform varied accounting/clerical duties pertaining to processing of payroll and ensuring data has been inputted into the system timely and accurately

Maintain time and related records following established Corporate and Division policies and procedures

Process retroactive payment situations and other special check actions related to payroll to include relocations, tuition reimbursements, etc. and other adjustments as requested by management

Audit payroll records regularly to ensure there are no discrepancies and that related policies and procedures are being adhered to by management and employees

Resolve payroll issues as necessary, notifying the respective supervisor and/or Human Resources when required

Assist employees with questions as required

Interface with both internal and external audits and respond to related requests and findings; Resolve any payroll discrepancies that may result from audits

Collect information and complete regular surveys and tax related forms that are required

Use PC to generate necessary reports

Compile information of straight and overtime pay

May post entries to journals and ledgers

Position performance may be measured from a combination of Corporate and Divisional Balanced Score Card Goals which will include but not limited to Financial Performance, Customer Satisfaction, Operational Excellence and Employee Focus.

Individual position performance goals may be specific to the position, business segment or as it related to an individual's contribution or employment within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a back up for Payroll Clerk 1
Provide finance bi-weekly and month end reports to support finance statements.
Assist supervisors with timecard entries and other questions as required.
Audits Contract invoices and resolves discrepancies as needed.
May post entries for child support or other collections agencies.
Provide special reports related to payroll as needed.
Downloads and uploads bi-weekly batch reports into payroll system.
Supports Payroll Supervisor as required.
Qualifications add: 1-2 year payroll experience. FCP preferred, not required.

High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years of accounting or related degree preferred; 0-2+ years of experience in accounting.

Excellent written and verbal communication

Effective interpersonal skills

Effective multitasking skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as required

Effective organization and prioritization skills
