Part Time, DAY / EVENING, Variable

Posting dates for internal transfers:
March 12, 2024, through March 14, 2024

BASIC FUNCTION:

Obtain venous and capillary blood samples on outpatient and inpatient basis for adult, pediatric and newborn patients are performed in all areas of the hospital. Provide phlebotomy services to long term care clients (area nursing homes) as part of the Laboratory Outreach service.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy training and experience preferred.
Ability to communicate with others in a friendly and professional manner and be able to put them at ease.
Demonstrate the ability to work calmly in stressful situations when many people are making requests.
Responsible for work that must meet rigid medical standards in performing job duties.
Able to adapt to routine work that involves repetitive operations carried out in accordance with standard procedures.
Must be computer-literate to complete task(s) as required. Such as MediTech (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system), Relias (education system), ability to retrieve emails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs as assigned
