Senior Analyst - Revenue Excellence

Who You'll Work With
You will be part of McKinsey's Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) practice in one of our offices in North America.
The SHaPE practice is one of 10 industry practices within the firm and has a mission of measurably improving individuals' lives, livelihoods and health, creating safer and more just communities around the world. SHaPE serves governments, donors, healthcare payors/providers and non-governmental organizations on topics including health, public finance, education, defense, economic development and beyond. McKinsey's Social, Healthcare and Public Entities practice fosters innovation driven by advanced analytics, user experience design thinking, predictive forecasting and new product development. We are a community of entrepreneurs within McKinsey dedicated to using technology to accelerate meaningful impact for our clients. Through self-service access to analytics and data, software as a service solution, strategic acquisitions, and a vibrant ecosystem of alliances, we are redefining what it means to work with McKinsey.

Our practice is organized around domains that house intellectual property and expert practitioners, Centers of Excellence (CoE), and cross-functional special teams working to bring a distinctive approach to our clients in practice priority areas like digital and analytics. This position will be a part of the Revenue Excellence domain, with distinctive capabilities in the areas of revenue cycle management, pricing and growth.

You will be on a team working on end to end revenue cycle transformations, including patient access, coding, clinical documentation, billing, A/R management, and related IT systems. You will manage projects that significantly improve revenue cycle performance, such as improved patient collections, reduced denial write-offs, increased accuracy of clinical documentation and coding, accelerated back-end cash collections; as well as drive development of technology assets that help our client teams fulfill these goals.
What You'll Do
You will work directly with client leaders and front-line operators to drive change that is critical to the successful realization of client company goals.

In this role, you will be supporting healthcare providers with growing volume, optimizing price and capturing value. Our engagements are typically focused on growth solutions that leverage cutting edge assets and expertise, revenue cycle management capabilities across the value chain to ensure maximum value capture, or pricing capabilities that enable providers to excel along the full managed care contracting life cycle. You will be working on topics such as increasing payer yield, improving mid-cycle performance, or reducing cost to collection.

You will ensure that success is a priority with our clients. You will engage at a deep level across our clients' businesses, working with small teams to build the capabilities, systems, and processes needed to deliver bottom-line results and then ensure those results are sustainable. Your work will be about problem solving, coaching, and delivering lasting outcomes to our healthcare clients.

Please note that there is flexibility to hire at the Senior Analyst or Specialist level, depending on the candidate's experience.
