Description

Building a successful social media campaign takes careful planning, development, and a strong strategist who can reach the target demographic. We're seeking a person who not only understands navigating social media intricacies for optimal results, but also enjoys having fun with a creative and exciting team!
The Social Media Strategist is someone who craves "the action." They see a long to-do list as an exciting challenge, and are never satisfied until something's done right. They're organized, detailed, and eager to optimize results based on performance. The ideal candidate is analytical by nature, but fits well within a fast-paced and independent culture.
They will lead social media initiatives, planning, managing to a budget, providing reporting and social insights while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Additionally, they will manage Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) online presence on various social media platforms. They will be responsible for the creation, publishing, measuring and analyzing performance (ROI) and engaging with the audience. They will collaborate with marketing, agency partners and company leaders to develop successful social media campaigns. Oversee a cohesive and unified social media strategy across various channels to achieve high levels of user engagement, ROI and performance analysis. Knowing that we need all of these elements to determine social media campaigns' success.

Essential Functions:
Social Media Strategy and Post Management
Develops social media strategy aligned with business and campaign goals
Identifies the target audience and defines social media KPIs to measure success
Helps set realistic and attainable campaign goals
Collaborates with content and communications team to plan and schedule social media posts and ads
Publishes all social media boosted posts for brands such as TCO and any others as assigned
Monitors and optimizes post and ad performance
Stays up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, emerging technology and best practices to share with internal marketing team and key partners
Recommends strategy and tactic shifts to leverage new opportunities due to algorithm changes or trend shifts
Online Community Management
Responds and engages with comments, posting, and sharing to foster audience engagement
Proactively sources testimonials and submits jobs as needed to the content team
Strong and professional writer who manages responses with online community, according to brand guidelines
Develops and administers automated responses, if applicable, on social media platforms
Responds promptly and professionally to any social media crises by following crisis communication plans in partnership with PR team to handle any negative situations or feedback
Reporting and Analytics
Assists in developing the content strategy and calendar
Monitors analytics and metrics to gauge success of social media posts, ad campaigns and ROI
Analyzes competitor social media presence and strategies to identify opportunities and threats
Reports on data and health of campaigns and individual posts
Excellent presenter that can execute quickly and in clear, concise visual form
Additional Functions
Works closely with Digital Manager on YEXT, Sprout, and other digital partnerships
Works closely with Creative Director on content tracking and other social partnerships
Helps execute on marketing initiatives
Tracks social media budget and reporting media spend with Digital Manager, Creative Director, and Content and Communication Specialist
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field
4+ years of related experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills, including ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and manage expectations of all stakeholders
Proven experience with brand social media management and strategy
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics/analytics
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
Required platform experience: Meta, TikTok, X and LinkedIn
Required experience in trafficking ads in Meta Ads Manager
Preferred platform and tools experience: YouTube/Google Ads, X Ads, Snap Business, Sprout Social
Proven ability to take ideas and put them into action; finding creative solutions to complex problems
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other teams within organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills, relationship-building skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
