Chart's Material Generalist plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Loading and unloading trucks
Moving completed inventory in the yard on to trucks
Includes climbing ladders to attach straddle crane hooks
Manipulating tank supports for external storage
Moving production materials from the yard into the building
Processing orders for customers
Pulling orders from warehousearea
Support shipping and receiving functions
Performing general clerical functions
Delivers Products to workstations
Performs cycle counting and reconciliation on a daily basis
Performs general shop maintenance and clean up
Performs all tasks to ISO 9001 standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Your Education Should Be…
- High School diploma or GED
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Will involve exposure to outside temperature extremes
Frequent climbing andworking at elevated positions
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
Intermediate computer skills including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Excellent work and attendance records
Current CDL License preferred, or ability to acquire one
Forklift (indoor and yard) and/or Straddle Crane experience preferred
Customer service skills
Readily acts on challenges and with a “can do” attitude
Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions
Attentively listens to others
Knows strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and limits
Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences
Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding
