POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Financial Access will plan and direct the overall operation of the Financial Aid area of Student Services. Under executive direction, performs highly varied administrative duties including setup of the financial aid software (PowerFaids) for efficient and regulatory acceptable awarding and disbursing. Responsible for all employees in the financial access area.
The Director is a leader in the Office of Student Services and as such will work closely with colleagues to foster a professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming environment for all BAC constituents. This is a full-time exempt position of 40 hours per week, reporting to Associate Vice President of Enrollment Strategy and Services.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for all aspects of counseling, awarding, disbursing, reconciling and reporting of financial aid.
· Navigate and resolve complex financial aid issues while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
· Guide the Financial Aid staff in all federal and state student assistance programs.
· Manage the setup and updating of the Financial Aid software (PowerFaids) on an ongoing basis.
· Manage Title IV and other federal, state and institutional aid funds ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
· Complete reports and surveys as they relate to financial aid (i.e. FISAP, OSFAA and IPEDS)
· Review processes on a regular basis to ensure a focus on access and understanding for students.
· Oversee the awarding of institutional scholarships and grants.
· Counsel students and families regarding financial aid options and application completion as needed.
· Manage the completion of the institution’s annual financial aid audit.
· Collaborate across the College to assist in achieving enrollment and retention goals.
· Provide reports when necessary for members of the Enrollment Management team.

Work Schedule requirements:
· This is a hybrid position. At least 1 day a week in person will be required. Days in the office may vary depending on the time of year and needs of the office.
· Must be able to work flexible hours in accordance with the academic season.
SALARY: $75,000 - $95,000
