JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: UW-Madison\'s Division of Extension

impacts. About the Health & Well-Being Institute and FoodWIse program:
The Health & Well-Being Institute () works to catalyze positive change
in Wisconsin residents through evidence-based and community-engaged
health promotion programs to improve health, build community capacity to
identify and address health inequities, engage in collective action, and
achieve greater health equity. FoodWIse () advances healthy eating
habits, active lifestyles, and healthy community environments for
families with limited incomes through nutrition education at the
individual, community and systems levels. FoodWIse is federally funded
by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) and
Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) grants. About the position:
The primary purpose of the Healthy Communities Coordinator position is
to work in coordination and collaboration with local agencies, food
systems partners, and community residents to plan, implement, and
evaluate policy, systems, and environmental change interventions to
increase healthy food access and physical activity opportunities for
individuals with limited income. The position will facilitate and
coordinate with key food systems stakeholders, partnerships, and
collaborations that reduce silos, increase resident voice, and maximize
the impact of this work. Additionally, this position will work closely
with statewide colleagues on building healthy community initiatives,
including complementary plans, collaborative training, and professional
development opportunities, and aligned evaluation as appropriate. In
Brown County, this position will focus on healthy food access in the
areas of: -Developing a county plan for equitable emergency food
distribution during a public emergency -Assessing food security and
implementing related strategies in Brown County as part of the County
