| Job Description: |
The Custodial Services Department at Saint John’s University invites applications to fill numerous temporary summer positions. Typical shift is 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. Full or part time options and/or flexible start time may be available. Postions beginning May 15, 2023 - August 25, 2023.
Positions are responsible for all aspects of cleanliness, refuse/recycling removal and sanitation of buildings on the SJU campus and will use cleaning solutions and operate custodial equipment to complete the duties.
Responsibilities
General and detailed cleaning in academic and residential building interiors. Tasks may include:
Wiping down chairs, desks, doors, walls, and other room furnishings
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors and stairways
Window washing
Carpet cleaning
Dusting
Emptying and cleaning garbage and recycling containers
Other duties as assigned
