Lateral officers are individuals currently employed in a full-time, sworn law enforcement role. The training program may be condensed based upon your prior law enforcement experience.

Applicants must: 

  • Possess a valid Minnesota Peace Officer license, be eligible to be licensed, or be in the process to be licensed in the State of Minnesota; and 
  • Possess a valid driver's license.

  • I am currently pursuing the MN POST Board approved professional Peace Officer education requirements and anticipate being MN POST eligible by July 1, 2024.
