Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Coordinator Compliance/Billing coordinates the regional laboratory regulatory and billing compliance programs. The coordinator maintains all required records of billing and compliance audits.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains all required records of billing and compliance audits; documents findings and submits reports to the Regional Director.

  • Maintains regional laboratory compliance and billing manuals/documents; updates documents annually under the direction of the Regional Director.

  • Maintains processes surrounding all regional laboratory miscellaneous charging, late charges, and charge description master (CDM) maintenance.

  • Oversees action plans for correcting any non-compliant process or procedure; collects and analyzes data in a timely manner; prepares reports as requested by the Regional Director.

  • Assists Regional Director with the implementation of the regional laboratory compliance plan.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred, not required

Certifications:

  • Medical Lab Technician (MLT) ASCP Certification required

Experience:

  • Five years of Laboratory Tech experience required
