A Day in the Life

As the Training Program Manager, you will partner with the site cross-functional team to develop training strategy and organizational model and lead teams through execution of key initiatives. You will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan and implement training programs, policies and procedures to fulfill those needs.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop, establish, and enhance training strategy, program(s) and operating model.

  • Collaborate with range of stakeholders to design organizational training structure with defined roles and responsibilities.

  • Define a competency model (training assessment and certification) for trainers and trainees.

  • Develop training materials including presentations and handouts. Ensure all materials are intuitive, accurate, up-to-date, and user friendly.

  • Apply knowledge of adult learning principles to design, create, and facilitate training development programs.

  • Determine and assess effective training methods such as classroom training, on-the-job training, physical aids, demonstrations, E-learning, and workshops.

  • Leverage training and development strategies to drive consistency and sustainability.

  • Establish metrics and monitoring mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the training programs.

  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of trainers, and provide guidance, support, and feedback to ensure successful performance and professional development.

  • Collaborate with Continuous Skills Development (CSD) coaches to deploy CSD training methodology across the site.

  • Apply program management standards and practices for successful deployment of training programs and associated projects.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Training & Development, Business Administration or Related Field

  • Minimum of 5 years of Training and Development experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of Training and Development experience

Nice to Have

  • 5+ Yrs. of experience in training and development.

  • Experience developing training curriculums.

  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other training related software.

  • Experience with adult learning methodologies.

  • Excellent facilitation and engagement skills.

  • Collaboration and working with others.

  • Experience deploying and executing training strategies.

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and world class manufacturing principles.

  • Strong project management and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location,
