(SEI) Manual Lathe Machinist Sherwood Electromotion Inc is a Service and Solution provider for Rail, Mass Transit, Oil and Mining Industry and Wind Power Generator Industries. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join our Buffalo Production team. The ideal candidate should deeply understand manual lathe operations, focusing on precision machining. The Manual Lathe Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating manual lathes to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications. Responsibilities and Duties Machine Setup: -Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements. -Set up and secure workpieces, tooling, and fixtures on manual lathes. -Choose appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each machining operation. Operation: -Operate manual lathes to perform turning, facing, threading, and other machining operations. -Monitor machine operations to ensure precision and adherence to quality standards. -Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Maintenance: -Perform routine maintenance on manual lathes, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. -Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machines to ensure optimal performance. Quality Control: -Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure the quality of machined components. -Make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and meet quality standards. Documentation: -Record production data, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling information. -Complete all required documentation related to machining processes and quality control.
