Job Description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an IT Architect on our Mobile team for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities

Architectural Design: Lead the architectural design and implementation of software solutions using .NET mobile development frameworks and MS Power Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and flexibility.
Mobile Development Expertise: Bring deep expertise in mobile app development using .NET technologies and lead the development of mobile application that integrate seamlessly with backend systems.
Power Platform Development: Utilize MS Power Platform to design and develop low-code/no-code solutions for business process automation, data visualization, and application development.
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for software solutions and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.
Integrate with Backend Systems: Design and implement integrations with backend systems, APIs, and database to enable data exchange and function in mobile applications and Power Platforms solutions.
UI/UX Design: Work closely with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces for mobile applications and Power Platform solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimizing software solutions for maximum speed, efficiency, and responsiveness, leveraging both .NET mobile and Power Platform capabilities.
Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure the security of software solutions, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and coding standards for software development using .NET mobile and Power Platform technologies.
Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams working on .NET mobile and Power Platform projects and promote a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Proven experience 5+ years as a Software Architect or similar role, with focus on mobile app development using .NET technologies and experience with MS Power Platform.
Hands-on experience with MS Power platform.
Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices for both .NET mobile and Power Platform solutions.
Experience with Agile-Scrum development methodology.
Experience with Azure cloud and service oriented architecture.
Ability to analyze existing systems to create architecture documentation that outlines the as-is. Then assist in building a transition path to a future state.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of mobile development frameworks (MAUI desirable) and proficiency in .NET technologies.
Relevant certifications Azure, TOGAF, and Power Platform are desirable.
