Job Description:
Utilize mechanical engineering principles and practices to develop new business growth opportunities, and recommend and implement strategic actions. Oversee the analysis, measurement, and tracking of market sales potential across brands, channels, regions, and products. Champion new growth and product ideas. Develop processes and procedures to understand competition and input to lead pricing propositions. Utilize knowledge of pricing strategies to develop prices by aligning and building consensus with key stakeholders to achieve business targets. Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies. Determine current status of account in terms of relationship, financial, product competitiveness, barriers, quality and service, and define desired future state by balancing customer requirements and business capabilities in order to define achievable targets aligned with the business strategy. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues. Interpret internal and external customer needs based on relevant application; and explain and demonstrate products, solutions, and services to distinguish strengths and weaknesses to meet customer's specific needs to differentiate against competition through Articulating Value Proposition. Direct project teams to implement local processes utilizing knowledge of Market Analysis to attain critical information required to develop a specific product/product line plan as part of New Production Introduction (NPI). Direct comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources. Plan proactively for successful execution of account/territory-level sales strategies and plans based on current pipeline and evaluate pipeline health utilizing knowledge of Sales Pipeline Management. Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency. Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records. Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics. Utilize knowledge with Channel Awareness to evaluate and contextualize industry structure, dynamics, and path to market in order to advance organizational goals. Collect and assess customer data from internal and external sources, compare against historical data to determine useful inputs and create a forecast of future consumption patterns. Assess team developmental needs and provide opportunities as they relate to the needs of the business. Organize post-implementation exercises to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
