Job Description:
Summary: The Member Service Representative plays a pivotal role in managing membership inquiries and facilitating essential financial and operational transactions for our valued members. This position involves proactive communication via phone and email, ensuring seamless processes and exceptional service delivery. <br>
<br>This is a fully onsite position in Arden Hills, MN with hours of Monday-Thursday 8am-4:45pm, Friday 8-12:30pm.<br>
<br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>Facilitate member household and address maintenance entries, process policy assignments and ownership changes, handle duplicate certificate requests, and collaborate with social services and counties to verify member assets.</li>
<li>Execute financial distributions for various purposes including death claims, internal and external transfers, surrenders, loans, and withdrawals.</li>
<li>Prepare newly approved life business for issuance, including managing increases, Guaranteed Purchase Options, standard and substandard approvals, and ensuring premium compliance.</li>
<li>Handle corrections, re-dating/reissuing of policies, and generate new policy pages as required.</li>
<li>Provide responsive assistance to telephone calls, written inquiries, or walk-ins from members, member advisors, and partner insurance companies, while meticulously documenting interactions in our Contact Management System.</li>
<li>Support the Operations team by organizing and filing scanned documents into policy folders within the imaging system.</li>
<li>Manage batching of premium payments for life, annuity, certificate loans, and mortgages, along with associated ledger activities.</li>
<li>Maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work assigned hours as necessary.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul>
<li>Some post-secondary education and at least three years of insurance processing and/or financial industry customer service and operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills verbally on the phone and in person, and in written form both digitally in other traditional methods.</li>
<li>High attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a sufficient speed of work is required.</li>
