Job Description

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Provide instruction in the Electro-Mechanical
Technology program and Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship Programs
with an emphasis on meeting the needs of the local workforce.
Instructional areas include electrical code, motors and controls, AC/DC,
safety, PLC\'s, fluid power and pneumatics, power transmission,
integration of automation systems, related to the mechanical and
industrial automation field. Remain current with curriculum and trends
in the industry. Instruction to students through a variety of delivery
formats (e.g.: online, face to face, virtual computer conference) at
Lakeshore Technical College. Provide an exceptional customer service
experience to both internal and external customers throughout every
interaction. \* Please note, most of these courses will be in person and
have a heavy lab component to them. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree in a related discipline and two years
(4,000 hours) of recent relevant occupational experience in the field OR
a Journey Worker Card in a related discipline and two years\' (4000
hours) of recent relevant occupational experience in the field.
Master\'s degree in a related discipline preferred. Occupational
experience should include one of these occupational areas:
Electro-Mechanical Technician, Manufacturing Applications Engineer,
Controls Technician, Robotics Technician, Automation or Electrical
Engineer, Journey-Worker Industrial Electrician/Instrumentation or
Journey-Worker Maintenance Mechanic. Comprehensive understanding of
electrical, mechanical, and automated systems including motor control,
frequency and servo drive systems, process control equipment,
installation and configuration of PLC and Touchscreen hardware, and
complex electromechanical/automation systems, software, tools and
equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of NEC NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E. Teaching
