Cardiovascular Technician (CV Tech) – Full Time

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 05 Central Expwy North, TX 75013
Work hours: Full Time, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday – Friday with rotating days off, call shifts required.
Here’s What You Need
- Associate’s Degree, applied science required or
- Completion of accredited program or cardiovascular technology required or
- High School Diploma plus 2 years work experience in invasive cardiology required.
- 1-year cardiovascular experience preferred.
- 2 years cardiovascular experience required with high school diploma.
- Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred1 year related experience preferred
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
- RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire required or
- RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire required or
- CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, if ARRT, upon hire required and
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
What You Will Do
- Assesses and recognizes the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
- Administers contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
- Prepares room for examination (i.e., suction, oxygen, supplies).
- Check’s physician orders and exam requisitions using time out procedures.
- Greets and acknowledges patients using two forms of ID.
- Obtains patient history.
- Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices and monitors patients during imaging.
- Processes patient information displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed.
